Dr. Timothy Thomas is a Physician Researcher in the Research Services Department at Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium (ANTHC) in Anchorage, Alaska. He worked as a Family Practice doctor in Kenya, Bethel and Anchorage, Alaska in the 90's and then completed training in epidemiology with the CDC. For 8 years he conducted research on HIV at the CDC Field Station in Kenya and for the last 15 years in Alaska working on a variety of research projects with Alaska Native people. His current research involves tobacco cessation, oral health, colon cancer, and childhood obesity. Dr. Thomas serves on the Alaska Area IRB.
