Julia Rogers

Julia is a Health Researcher with ANTHC's Research Services Department. She previously worked as an Epidemic Intelligence Service Officer assigned by the CDC to the Alaska Division of Public Health's Section of Epidemiology. At ADPH, she conducted surveillance data analyses, led epidemiological investigations (including STIs, hepatitis C, measles, and borealpox) and coordinated response efforts with local and federal partners to develop public health guidance. Julia received her MPH and PhD in Epidemiology at the University of Washington, where her research involved community-based respiratory virus surveillance studies among people experiencing homelessness in shelter settings. Before graduate school, she served as a community health Peace Corps Volunteer in Burkina Faso and later worked for Partners In Health, managing community health worker programs in rural Liberia. She earned her undergraduate degree in International Relations from the University of St. Andrews.
